Maybe Chris Wheal didn't explicitly said it yesterday in our class of Online Publishing Platforms, but it was clear to me that Google+ is just another 'necessary evil' we have to work on if we want our name out there.
A Google+ profile would be dispensable knowing that Facebook or Twitter are doing a way better job, so as of know, the platform just seems like another 'sacrifice' made by Google in order to dominate every corner of the web.
Therefore the question is: are we going to let them? Well, maybe there's no other choice, right? We need Google if we want to be known, thus by that logic we will need Google+ in order to make Google think we actually care about their awful platform.
But we need to consider something else. Maybe we won't use Google+ to share funny videos or comment a football match, but we sure will need it if we want our blogs or our websites to grow.
